Aliona Bolsova Zadoinova and Barbora Krejcikova will meet for the first time in their careers.

Bolsova Zadoinova is having her breakthrough season, having reached the French Open fourth round from qualifying beating Top 100 opponents. The Spaniard who is making a seeded appearance this week in Bucharest easily ousted Varvara Flink 6-3, 6-2 in her opening match.

Krejcikova is in red-hot form at the moment, having won 4 clay court ITF titles this year and holds an impeccable 20-0 record on the surface this year. In WTA-level however, the Czech has not posted any big results, losing in the first round at the French Open. She managed to recover from a second set let-down to beat Elena Gabriela Ruse 6-3, 0-6, 6-2.

Krekcikova seems to be the player in better form at the moment but I like Bolsova Zadoinova's chances as she seems to be performing better on higher-level tournaments.
